Aimee Wallack of Phoenix, Oregon, is the recipient of the First place award of $1,500.00. Amiee lost both of her parents when she was only 12 years old. She became a widow at the age of 27. She had 3 young children, and made the decision to pursue her degree in dental hygiene at Oregon Institute of Technology. Her children are all in elementary school now, and she expects to graduate in June, 2009.
The second place award of $1,000.00 is going to Johanna Morris of Merrill. Johanna is divorced with 2 children. She is currently enrolled at Klamath Community College and is pursuing a degree in Special Ed.
The recipient of the third place award of $750.00 is Grace Rusth of Klamath Falls. She is divorced and has a 4 year old son. She is scheduled to graduate in June, 2009, from Oregon Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science in Applied Psychology.
