Klamath/Lake County Baby Shower!
Each year Soroptimists host a baby shower for Klamath Youth Development distribution to needy mothers and families. Many other organizations participate and contribute to this worthy cause. This year we had mulitple donations from the community and the “Charity in Stiches” group dropped in with their hand created donations as well. This group regulary contributes to Sky Lakes Medical Center, Gospel Mission, Klamath Crisis Center and nursing homes around the community, in addition to their annual donations to the Soroptimist Baby Shower. We are proud of such commnity support for our projects. Charity in Stitches at the Soroptimist Baby shower.

This year’s winner is Shannon Houston, representing the Future Business Leaders of America. The Woman’s Opportunity Award aids women seeking to improve their economic status by gaining additional skills, training and education. This year we were able to give two awards. The winners are Teresa Perry and Sally Zavala. The Ruby Award honors women who through their professional or personal efforts are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women and girls.
